World-renowned environmentalist Dr. Jane Goodall will be appearing at Burlington’s Royal Botanical Gardens next month.
Goodall, a United Nations Messenger of Peace and Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute, is considered the world’s foremost expert on chimpanzees, after 60 years studying the social and family interactions of wild chimpanzees.
Goodall first went to Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania to observe its chimpanzees in 1960.
The event is being held Oct. 11 and funds raised will support RBG’s efforts in connecting more children with nature to help grow more young environmentalists.
Due to the anticipated high demand for a limited number of tickets, those interested are asked to register for a chance to purchase.
Registration does not guarantee tickets. Once registration closes, a randomly-selected number of registrants will be contacted to complete their ticket purchase.
There will be a limit of one registration per household (duplicate entries will be disqualified), and a limit of two tickets per household.
Registration closes Sunday, Sept. 17 at 11:59 p.m.
Those selected to purchase tickets will be notified by email on Monday, Sept. 18, and RBG staff will be phoning to complete ticket sales between Sept. 19-21.
