Work will begin next year to overhaul a Burlington neighbourhood

The work in the Aldershot community will bring changes to Park Avenue East, Park Avenue West, and Aldershot Place where sidewalks will be installed for the first time.

The plan is for the sidewalk to be installed on one side of each street.

As well, the joint City of Burlington and Halton Region project will see a replacement of the watermain system, curbs, gutters, a storm sewer, new street lights and the laying down of new asphalt.

The work is scheduled to begin in 2025.

Residents in the neighbourhood will be receiving notices from the city’s engineering department providing more details about the project. The letter will include a link to the project webpage (which is not yet complete), where residents can go and view the plans and sidewalk locations.
