Woman stabbed at Oakville GO Station

A woman was attacked and stabbed at the Oakville GO Station this afternoon (Oct. 6).

Reports indicate the woman was taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Halton police who arrived at the scene subsequently made a gunpoint arrest of a man. His name and the charges he faces have not yet been released.

Police say they were called to the station at Cross Road near Trafalgar Road around 1 p.m. where they found the woman suffering from a stab wound.

A suspect was found and arrested a short time later. Police say no others were involved and there is no further risk to public safety.
