Woman missing in Burlington, police and family concerned for her safety

A vulnerable Burlington woman is missing and police and her family and concerned for her well-being.

Halton police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Diane Kantowski, 79, who was last seen on foot at around 10 a.m. this morning (Wednesday, Oct. 30) in the area of Plains Road East and Falcon Boulevard in Burlington.

Kantowski is a white female, about 5-foot-7 with a thin build. She has shoulder-length grey hair and was wearing a black sweater with a blue and red design, blue jeans, and black slip-on shoes.

Anyone with information about Kantowski or her possible location is asked to contact police through 9-1-1 or via the non-emergency line at 905-825-4777.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at the website.

A person can be reported missing at any time, there is no 24-hour waiting period. If you are concerned for someone’s immediate safety, call 9-1-1. Otherwise, you can report a person as missing to the Halton Regional Police Service by calling the non-emergency number 905-825-4777.
