Wild Fork Oakville

Wild Fork will officially open its second Canadian retail store Saturday with a ribbon-cutting and ‘consumer sampling’ event at the new location on Hyde Park Gate in Oakville, just west of the Mississauga border.

The company specializes in delivery of its nearly 600 premium protein products, from Wagyu beef to lobster to humble chicken wings.

Wild Fork also carries speciality meats and fish, such as boneless bison stir fry, whole duck, venison fondue slices, ground wild boar, elk and ostrich sliders, arctic char, yellowfin tuna cubes and candied chinook salmon, as well as desserts, pizza and more.

Brazilian-based with many locations in the U.S., the company launched an online store in Canada in January and opened its first Canadian retail store at Whitby’s Taunton Gardens plaza June 10.

Wild Fork, which prides itself on offering the largest variety of premium-cut meats and seafood delivered to your door – the products are packed with dry ice to ensure it arrives in optimum condition – is looking at adding about 20 new locations in the GTA with a hope of opening those stores in the next year or two, followed by growth into B.C. and Alberta.

As the company puts it on their web site, “the new fresh way to eat and it’s frozen.”

The Oakville store opened for a ‘soft launch two weeks ago and is now open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. For Saturday’s grand opening, free samples will be available in the parking lot from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Oakville store is located at 2501 Hyde Park Gate.
