If you haven’t yet made plans for New Year’s Eve, spending it with John Travolta and Oliva Newton-John is an option.

You can join the two Hollywood stars along with a host of others for a presentation of the 1977 film Grease on Dec. 31.

But more than just a showing of the 1977 musical, this version of Grease is interactive as the audience can sing-a-long to all the great songs of the film.

Presented at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre (BPAC) and hosted by Burlington Student Theatre’s Rainer Noak, your ticket to the show includes sparkling wine, costume contests, photos and other fun items to make the event a truly memorable occasion.

“Sing-a-Long-a Grease is a screening of the 1977 film with lyrics on screen it is not a live show there is a host that does a 20-minute pre-show prior to the film and returns after the interval but is not on stage during the movie. The audience are the stars and having been warmed up and briefed by the host are to interact with the movie and have a blast,” according to organizers of the event.

The film has become a fan-favourite over the years due to the catchy songs and the big-screen presence of Travolta and the late Newton-John who star as the high school sweethearts in typical small-town USA. Set in the 1950s, Grease has grown in popularity over the years with the help of a strong cast and songs that are easy to sing-al0ng to such as Hopelessly Devoted to You, You’re the One that I Want, Summer Nights and Greased Lightnin’.

The show starts at 8 p.m.
