Was your bike or electric scooter stolen in Milton? Police might have recovered it

Several bicycles and a pair of electric scooters were recently recovered during a search warrant in Milton and Halton police are looking for their owners.

On Saturday, Oct, 12, 2024, police executed a warrant at a residence in the area of Yates Drive and Thompson Road South as part of an investigation into bike thefts taking place in Milton.

Police recovered multiple stolen bikes and two electric scooters. Some of the bike owners have been identified. However police are still looking to identify the owners of five of them, as well as the two electric scooters.

Anyone who had their bike or scooter stolen in the Milton area recently, and did not report it to police, is asked to contact the 1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777, ext. 2416.

Police also arrested a 38-year-old Milton man related to this investigation. He has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, failure to comply with probation, theft under $5,000, and unauthorized use of credit card.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
