Wanted: Police look for man who fled Burlington accident scene

Halton police are looking for a man they say is wanted for several crimes.
A warrant has been issued for Trevor Adams, a white male, 6-foot, 180 lbs.
Adams is wanted for charges of failure to stop after an accident, flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, and taking a motor vehicle without consent.
Although has ties to the Burlington area, investigators believe Adams is residing in Hamilton.
Police say the search stems from an incident that took place on June 23 of last year.
At that time a man was involved in a collision near the intersection of Maple Ave. and Fairview St. in Burlington. Tjhe man fled the scene without making attempts to check on the other driver or exchange information. The suspect was located a short time later by police and again fled the scene. The man is known to be actively evading police.
Police urge anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Trevor Adams to come forward and contact the police immediately. Residents are advised not to approach him.
