A man and woman are wanted in connection with a crime spree spanning across southern Ontario – including Halton – and Niagara police are asking the public to help find them.
Kevin Stapleford-Francalanza, 24, and Rachel Hayden, 22 are wanted by several police services – such as Brantford, Waterloo, Guelph, and London – on a number of charges ranging from vehicle and gas theft to shoplifting.
There have been at least 25 interactions from Aug. 18 to Sept. 26 — the most recent one in a Niagara-on-the-Lake parking lot.
That’s where the suspects allegedly damaged several police cruisers and civilian vehicles while attempting to evade arrest.
Stapleford-Francalanza and Hayden have “significant connections” to the Niagara Region/St. Catharines area, say police, adding they’re considered to be a risk to public safety and shouldn’t be approached.
They’re known to change vehicles frequently.
If you see them, call 911 immediately, say police.
Anyone with information is asked to phone Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
