Wallet, cash, identification stolen from employees at Oakville thrift store

The search is on for a man who stole a wallet and cash along with identification from employees at an Oakville thrift store.

Halton Regional Police say around 8:30 p.m. on July 14 a man allegedly went into an employees’ office at an Oakville Value Village location and stole a wallet from a purse and then went into the staff room and took cash and identification from employees’ bags.

“(The) suspect was escorted to an employee bathroom prior to the thefts occurring,” Halton police told halton.insauga.com.

The stolen wallet contained cash and identification. A bank card was used at an unknown Shoppers Drug Mart location.

Police say the perpetrator is a male in his late 20s/early 30s and is five-foot-10 with a skinny build.

He has brown eyes and was wearing a black t-shirt, black baseball hat and jeans.
