Halton Hills Walking Tour

Acton residents are being allowed to step back in time this week, as the Vintage Action Walking organization has slated a new round of public walking tours.

Scheduled for this upcoming Sunday (August 4), the Gone, But Not Forgotten event will set Acton residents on a path of architectural discovery and history.

Vintage Action Walking founder Scott Brooks will be leading the event and will simultaneously educate residents on the importance of each brick laid at every historical site — where a once prominent Acton fixture once stood.

Locations on the tour include the famous W. H. Storey and Son Glove Works, as well as the home of the town’s first photographer, A.T. Brown.

Signage will also be posted throughout the tour featuring pictures showcasing what each building looked like during its prime.

The tour will kick off at 7 pm at the Mill-Main Parkette in Downtown Acton.
