VIDEOS: Spectacular footage of massive Oakville fire surfaces

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been called in to investigate a massive fire that destroyed 10 homes under construction in a new Oakville subdivision just before noon on Wednesday (June 21).

The blaze engulfed a block of homes at a Mattamy Homes construction site in the area of Dundas St. E. and William Cutmore Blvd. near Ninth line.

Members of the Oakville Fire Department worked to get the fire under control, which was believed to be exacerbated by the wind.

Other homes at the site were also damaged.

No injuries were reported.

Cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
