Vehicle clocked doing 161 km/h on Oakville highway, driver charged, loses licence

A driver pulled over on the Queen Elizabeth Way by Burlington OPP in the early morning hours of Sunday (Apr. 21) in Oakville has been charged and will be without his vehicle and licence for some time.
Burlington OPP said on the X platform the vehicle was clocked doing 161 Km/h on the QEW around 3 a.m. on Sunday morning.

“Slow down,” the OPP said in the tweet on X.
The driver of the vehicle has been charged with stunt driving and faces an automatic 30-day suspension of his licence. The vehicle was also be impounded for 14 days.
