Halton police are investigating after an elementary school was damaged by anti-LGBTQ graffiti — just in time for Pride Month.

Halton police are investigating after an elementary school was damaged by anti-LGBTQ graffiti — just in time for Pride Month.

“It’s being investigated right now as mischief,” said Det.-Sgt. Dave Costantini.

Investigators are asking the public for help.

The incident took place at Ethel Gardiner Public School on Danby Rd. in Georgetown.

That’s where homophobic slurs reading ‘f–k pride’ and ‘f–k gays’ were spray-painted.

It appeared overnight between May 31 and June 1 and overnight between June 1 and June 2.

“Somebody knows who did this,” said Costantini, adding “we’re actively investigating.”
