A distress call has resulted in a death this afternoon, police say.

A distress call has resulted in a death this afternoon, police say.

At 3:12 p.m., police said they were responding to a residence on Runnymead Cr. for a male believed to be in distress.

Halton Police’s Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team and crisis negotiators also attended.

While details of the incident remain unknown, adjacent homeowners were notified to shelter in place.

At 5:11 p.m., police reported that the male was found dead.

“Tragically, the male has been found deceased. Family has been notified,” police said.

Police say they will not be providing further information at this time.
