Two people injured, one critically, in serious collision on major Oakville road

A collision on a major Oakville road early Wednesday afternoon (June 7) has left two people hospitalized, one of them critically injured.

Halton Regional Police say the accident happened on Lakeshore Rd. W. between Third Line and Solingate Dr. shortly before 2 p.m.

It is believed the crash involved a scooter and another vehicle. Cause of the collision is unknown at this time.

Lakeshore Rd. W. was closed off in both directions to allow the Halton Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit to investigate the crash.

“Please find alternate routes,” say Halton police.

Lakeshore Road West in Oakville is closed in both directions between Third Line and Solingate Drive for a collision investigation.
