Two people arrested following police raid in Oakville, facing drug, weapons charges

Halton police found drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons and cash when they raised an Oakville home yesterday.

On Sept. 28, the Oakville 2 District Street Crime Unit initiated a drug trafficking investigation and two suspects were identified.

On September 29, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Oakville where the following items were seized:

  • 11.2 grams of fentanyl
  • 9.8 grams of methamphetamine
  • 4.6 grams of cocaine
  • A .22 calibre long rifle
  • 44 rounds of .22 ammunition
  • 3 prohibited knives
  • Extendable baton
  • A quantity of Canadian currency
  • A BB rifle
  • Digital scales
  • Packaging
  • Cell phones

Jessica MacMaster, 33, and Brendan Belzak, 35, both of Oakville, were arrested and charged with possession and trafficking of cocaine, meth and fentanyl, unauthorized possession and careless storage of a firearm and possession of stolen property.

Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
