Burlington leash free dog park

You will have more options to let your pet run free this year.

Two parks in Burlington have been designated for leash-free zones with both expected to be open before the summer.

Pathfinder Park on Pathfinder Drive and Hidden Valley Park on Hidden Valley Road are the locations where work on the redesigns to accommodate the dog-friendly areas are taking place.

At Pathfinder, the leash-free zone will be located at the back of the park along the path. This area will have a full six-foot fence and be double-gated with one bench to sit and enjoy the frolicking.

Hidden Valley will also be fenced-in and double-gated with a couple of benches and be near the Burlington Model Railway Club.

The reconstruction at both parks is currently delayed due to site conditions but is expected to resume once the weather gets warmer. The area where the work is being carried out will remain closed during the construction period.
