Don’t get your pumpkin trails mixed up at the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG).

This year as the RBG approaches Halloween, two events with similar names are being held but one is for families while the other is just for adults.

RBG After Dark: Pumpkin Trail is an adult-themed event that takes place Oct. 24 from 6 to 11 p.m. and is for those ages 19 and over.

At this event, Hendrie Park will be transformed under the cover of darkness into a Halloween-themed area where the candlelit glow of hundreds of Jack-O-Lanterns will light the trail of the park.

Along the way, participants will be able to enjoy music, entertainment and pumpkin-themed activities while sampling food and various adult beverages. Everyone is encouraged to come in costume.

Tickets for this event will soon be available by following this link.

Meanwhile, The Great Pumpkin Trail will also take place at RBG with this event open to the entire family. This runs from Oct. 18 to 20 and again from Oct. 25 to 27 starting at 5:30 p.m.

The Great Pumpkin Trail will take place in Hendrie Park as well where participants will also find paths lined with Jack-O-Lanterns and the availability of family-friendly food and beverages. Dressing up is optional but encouraged. Of note, a portion of this trail is fully wheelchair accessible and stroller-friendly with the remainder being rough terrain. Strollers and wagons are not recommended.

Tickets for this event can be found here.
