A pair of Brampton men have been arrested following a stolen vehicle investigation that began in Milton.

On Monday, June 26, Halton police tracked an allegedly stolen Lexus to an address in the area of Trafalgar Rd. and Lower Base Line W. in Milton

The Lexus had been reported stolen from Toronto on June and was located thanks to a tracking device being installed on the vehicle.

Police said a search warrant was executed at the address and nine stolen vehicles were recovered. The vehicles were located in various states of disassembly. It is believed once disassembled, the vehicles were intended to be shipped abroad.

Members of the Task Force had previously executed a search warrant at the same location in March and recovered 12 stolen vehicles at that time.

Investigators were able to link the suspects from the March 10 investigation with this recent recovery.

Today police arrested two men in Brampton, Amar Masood Khan, 54, and Haider Khan, 24. Both have been charged with 21 counts of possession of stolen property, and trafficking stolen property.

Both have been released on an Undertaking.

Halton police said they continue to apply significant resources to investigate auto theft occurrences.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the Regional Auto Theft Task Force at 905-825-4777, ext. 3407.
