A truck fire on the Burlington Skyway bridge has brought traffic to a crawl through the area.
Reports indicate a tractor-trailer burst into flames after crashing into a wall in the Niagara-bound lanes of the QEW at the base of the bridge near Eastport Dr.
All Niagara-bound lanes remain closed and lanes going in the opposite direction have also been reduced.
The OPP is warning drivers to stay away from the area as the lanes could remain closed for several hours and delays will be lengthy.
Emergency crews are on the scene to clean up oil spills.
The truck was believed to be carrying fibreglass material.
The driver of the truck has been taken to hospital but the extent of his injuries is not known.
Burlington Transit reports that the lane closure and traffic tie-ups are affecting several bus routes.
