Burlington residents may have to adjust their commutes in mid-October due to construction on certain GO train tracks.

On October 16 and 17, Metrolinx will be working on the GO train tracks along the Union Station rail corridor and near Burlington GO Station.

Starting with the beginning of construction on the 16 and continuing until completion on the 17, westbound GO train service on the Lakeshore West Line will have adjusted departure times—some trips will be departing Appleby and Burlington GO stations five minutes later, and all trips will be departing two minutes earlier.

The track work is intended to improve train speed, as well as overall service life and reliability.

Regular service is scheduled to resume on October 18.
