Town of Oakville puts out the call for firefighter applications

If you were one of those children who always wanted to be a firefighter when they grew up, the Town of Oakville might make your dreams come true.

Oakville is accepting applications for probationary firefighters until Monday, Dec. 4, at noon. They’ve also posted the profile so potential applicants can see if the job is right for them.

Among the criteria are:

• Want to help others and serve the community
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Enjoy ongoing learning, both in the classroom and on the job

Interviews will be conducted in the new year and offers of employment will go out in February. The job is scheduled to start in mid-March.
