Town of Halton Hills hosting annual tree sale

The Town of Halton Hills recently announced that they will be hosting another tree sale later this month.

The sale, which will be held online, will feature a total of 1,200 trees that will be available for purchase by Halton Hills residents on Apr. 22 beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Various species of trees will be available each at a cost of $5 per tree, with a maximum of five trees per household.

Saplings will come in individual pots and will be an average of two to five feet in height.

The species of trees that will be available for purchase include the alternate leaved dogwood, common chokecherry, eastern white cedar, eastern white pine, red maple, red oak, downy serviceberry, sugar maple, white birch and white spruce.

Following their purchase, residents will be able to pick up their trees from the Robert C. Austin Operations Centre, located at 11620 Trafalgar Rd. in Georgetown during their scheduled pick-up times between Apr. 26 and 29, 2022.
