There's no shortage of things to do in Oakville this summer and Visit Oakville has a top 10 list of fun events like the British Car Day.

From live music and food festivals to family-friendly activities and the celebration of various cultures, this summer in Oakville offers a little something for everyone.

Summer officially arrives Thursday afternoon (June 20) and there’s no shortage of events and things to do in Oakville.

“Our town has an incredible lineup of events over the next couple of months,” said Rebecca Edgar, Executive Director, Visit Oakville. “And while here, you can enjoy performances at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, discover the Oakville Museum or Oakville Galleries, hang out by the waterfront, explore the many trails of Bronte Creek Provincial Park or shop, and dine at our amazing restaurants in Bronte Village, Downtown Oakville or Kerr Village.”

According to Visit Oakville, here are the top 10 “must-see” events this summer in Oakville:

  1. Oakville Film Festival – June 19-25 – In its 11th year, the festival brings the best in local, Canadian, and international cinema to town.   2. Bronte Lake Notes – Starts June 20 – Relax by the water with live music performances on Thursday nights at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, showcasing talented artists in a picturesque setting.
  3. Oakville Family Ribfest – June 21-23 – Kick off the summer with mouthwatering ribs, live music, and fun activities for all ages at this beloved community event.
  4. Canada Day – July 1 – Join the Town of Oakville’s fun-filled evening of family-friendly activities, live entertainment, tasty food trucks and dazzling fireworks display.

  8. Kerrfest and Kerrfest Kids – September 6-8 – Join us for a weekend of excitement with live performances, family activities, and entertainment that bring Kerr Village to life.
  9. British Car Day – September 15 – Check out over 1,000 cars from vintage, classic and current British-manufactured vehicles, including motorcycles. The event is the largest, one-day, all-British car event in North America.
