Oakville is creating a transportation plan to help local residents travel more sustainably and time is running out to have your say.

The Urban Mobility and Transportation Study (UMTS) is a policy framework document to guide the linkage between land use and transportation.

In order to be prepared for the growth and future mobility needs of the community, the Town of Oakville has created a transportation plan in two stages of work – through the UMTS and an update to the town’s Transportation Plan (TMP).

Residents can learn more about the plan here and provide their input by completing the survey by Sunday (Aug. 13).

A staff report including a summary of public feedback gathered through the consultation process will go forward to Council in fall 2023 to help inform Council on the strategy for approval. Responses will be kept strictly confidential and only aggregate results will be referenced.

Residents can also review the UTMS policy document and provide input to the town by email before Aug. 13, 2023.

Comments can be sent to Eric Chan, Manager, Transportation Planning at [email protected].
