Three people extricated from vehicles after collision in Milton

Three people trapped in their vehicles had to be extricated by emergency crews following a three-vehicle collision on a main Milton roadway early Friday evening (Sept. 20).

The crash occurred on Derry Road, between Regional Road 25 and Farmstead Drive, after 5 p.m. and shut down traffic in both directions.

The collision left a pickup on its side and one person trapped under a vehicle. Milton Fire and Rescue Services required airbags to help get people out of their vehicles.

“Derry Road, between Regional Road 25 and Farmstead Drive, is shut down in both directions,” say Halton Police. “The road will be closed for several hours for an ongoing collision investigation.”

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
