Three more arrested, two at large, as Halton police continue Project Ninja investigation

Three of the five men who were still wanted following Halton police’s Project Ninja investigation have been arrested.

The first spate of arrests saw several men charged earlier this month.

Since then, Yacine Mamache, 24, of Montréal, was arrested by Service de Police la Ville De Montreal on Sept. 12 and custody transferred to the HRPS where he was charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime and trafficking in stolen property.

On Sept. 16, Faycal Kessaci, 23, of no-fixed-address, was arrested by Halton officers in Oakville where he was charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, theft of a motor vehicle, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Youli-Wass Aidali, 22, of Le Goulet, New Brunswick, was arrested by Halton officers on Sept. 23 in Oakville where he was charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, theft of a motor vehicle, and possession of property obtained by crime.

All three men have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two more suspects, Yasser Hassani and Olivier Paquette, remain at large.
