Although a number of stores and establishments may be closed during the upcoming civic holiday (Monday, August 5, 2019), there is one very exciting event taking place in Oakville.
From 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. the 54th annual ‘Art in the Park’ event will be taking place at the Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park (Bronte Road and Ontario Street).
This event was created by the Oakville Art Society in 1965 in the hopes of promoting local artists and artisans. Now, with more than 175 being featured, the event attracts thousands of people.
And, according to the Art in the Park official website, the event has a reputation for being one of the best run art shows in southern Ontario.
