Third annual Oakville Milton Humane Society Doggie Dip one cool event

What better way to close out the dog days of summer here in Oakville than a nice refreshing swim in a pool for your pooch.

The Oakville Milton Humane Society (OMHS) is hosting its third annual Doggie Dip this Sunday (Sept. 3) at Lions Pool.

The fun event features time slots local residents can purchase so their furry friend can cool off in the pool. Time slots are 30 minutes each and are available between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Those interested must register their pets online here. The cost is $35 per slot and all money raised goes towards supporting animal care at the OMHS.

This year’s event will also feature a Barkin Market with treats, paintings, jewellery and more. Starbucks will also on hand distributing puppuccinos.

Two people can accompany their dog on deck. Attendees are not permitted to be in the pool with their dogs. No toys are allowed, though the OHMS will supply tennis balls for the dogs to use in the pool.

The event takes place rain or shine. Lion’s Pool is located at 159 Felan Ave.
