Celebrating Burlington’s Cultural Heritage

Spend the afternoon at Centennial Hall exploring Burlington’s history. Through informative exhibits and displays, discover the efforts of local organizations and community groups in preserving the city’s heritage.

From 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., visitors can attend free talks presented by the City of Burlington Heritage Planning, Royal Botanical Gardens, History Pix, and Halton Heritage Services. These talks will cover the preservation of cultural landscapes, buildings, and objects.

Civitan Farmer’s Market 

From its humble beginnings in 1979 at Hopedale Mall, the Oakville Farmers’ Market has grown into the town’s longest-running outdoor market. Now located at Dorval Crossing, with a parking lot donation from BentallGreenOak, the market continues to be a vibrant hub for fresh produce and local vendors.

Half-day pottery wheel throwing

At Artventures, attendees will learn to create pottery on a wheel under the guidance of experienced potter Kelsey. This 4-hour class covers the basics of wheel operation, clay centering, throwing techniques, and finishing touches like trimming and glazing. Each participant receives personalized instruction and has the opportunity to keep their finished pieces.
