September 20

Burlington Centre Lions Farmers’ Market

The Invention of Romance

Love can be tricky at any age. In this charming rom-com, 30-something Kate navigates a series of disastrous dates, while her widowed mother rekindles a romance from 60 years ago. Walk Right Back – The Everly Brothers Story
Direct from the UK, Walk Right Back returns in 2024 by popular demand. It follows their rise to fame, decade-long feud, and reunion, showcasing harmonies that influenced The Beatles and The Beach Boys. The Halton County Radial Railway is celebrating its 70th anniversary! Join the festivities with unlimited streetcar rides, kids’ activities, a trolley parade, display barns, and entertainment. Enjoy delicious bites from food trucks like Curbside, Ice Cream 4U and Beavertails.

Oakville:

Oakville Fall Celtic Festival

The Fall Celtic Festival (formerly Oakville Irish Cultural Day) brings together Celtic music, dance, art, food, and sports from Irish, Scottish, Welsh, and Cornish traditions. The event features live music, theatre, hurling matches, highland games, language workshops, historical exhibits, genealogy, storytelling, and activities for children. It is free to the public with limited parking. Carpooling or transit is advised.

Oakville Symphony Mini Concert
The Oakville Symphony fosters a passion for music, provides a supportive space for musicians and contributes to the cultural enrichment of the community. It aims to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

Eric’s Backyard Film Festival
Hidden in the suburbs of Oakville, Eric’s Backyard Film Festival at Trafalgar Memorial offers a unique blend of films, music, and community engagement. The youth-focused event features 90 minutes of short films from local filmmakers, live performances by bands Vacant Space and Morrison Heights, a vendor market and interactive art installations. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnic. There will be washrooms available on-site.

South Asian Mommies of Milton Cultural Hour

The event will showcase performances and lessons highlighting South Asia’s diverse cultures and traditions.

Summer Community BBQ

Run for Milton

Join the Run for Milton event at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre. This in-person run welcomes participants of all levels, offering an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while supporting a meaningful cause.

September 22

Burlington:

Appleby Line Festival

This event brings together families, churches, businesses, schools, and organizations, turning the street into an open space for the community to connect. With activities, a marketplace, food trucks, live demonstrations and a kids zone,  it offers something for everyone to enjoy.

Culture Days Family Open Studio

Inspired by the Fall exhibitions, the Family Open Studio invites families to explore creativity through projects that highlight the wonders of our world. From optical illusions to the beauty of watercolour, this hands-on program happening at the Art Gallery of Burlington is accessible for ages 3 and up. Families will work together to craft whimsical creations using coffee filters, scrap paper, ribbons, and string, with watercolour adding a magical touch. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and while you’re here, explore the exhibitions and discover treasures on the Take + Make Cart, filled with art supplies available for sharing.

The Sixth Annual PorchFest, presented by the Milton Music Teachers’ Association, offers an afternoon of live music featuring student performers and special guests.
