Halton is gearing up for a weekend full of events and activities for all ages. From classic car shows to live entertainment and family-friendly fun, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here’s what’s happening in Burlington, Oakville and Milton from Sept. 13 to Sept. 15:


September 13

Burlington:

Burlington Centre Lions Farmers’ Market

Find fresh, locally grown produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and more at the Burlington Centre Lions Farmers’ Market. Support local farmers and enjoy everything from apples to zucchini.

Milton:

Live Bands & Lawn Bowls

Have some Friday night fun at Lawn Bowls Milton with live music and lawn bowling! Entry is $5 cash. There will be music by JoJo and the Chintos, along with a lawn bowling lesson and game. Beginners are welcome, and equipment is provided. A cash bar will be available, and feel free to bring your own snacks.

September 14

Burlington:

Burlington Latino fest

For the first time, Burlington will host the Latino Fest at Nelson Park to celebrate Latino roots, traditions and heritage. This family-friendly event will feature food, music, a kids’ zone, a bistro bar, artisans, crafters and more.

Food for Feedback – Community Engagement BBQ

Happening at Central Park Bandshell, the gathering will feature a community BBQ with vegetarian and halal options available.

Dessert Walking Tours

Explore downtown Burlington’s best dessert spots with a curated walking tour, featuring 4-5 iconic stops along the core and waterfront. Along the way, enjoy a bit of Burlington trivia and sightseeing. Perfect for a fun outing with friends or meeting new people. The experience is a ticketed event and prices start at $74.95.

Family Storytime

Happening at the Clearview Branch, visitors can enjoy a morning of storytime fun with music and songs led by an Oakville Public Library staff member. The event supports the Every Child Ready to Read initiative, which helps parents and caregivers develop early literacy skills in children from birth to age five.

Kids art party – oven baked clay party

Get ready for a kids’ art party filled with creativity and fun! Guests are welcomed and introduced to a guided art activity based on the birthday child’s interests, such as pottery, painting, or clay sculptures. All materials are provided, and kids can take their creations home. Professional instructors will offer guidance, and the event concludes with an “art gallery” showcase where kids present their work.

Wellspring Ride for Cancer Support: Bike to Boulder

Wellspring’s Ride for Cancer Support is a cycling challenge where teams ride together to raise funds for cancer support. Cyclists will cover over 120 km a day for seven days, starting in Toronto and heading to Boulder, Colorado, through the American Midwest. The ride ends with a celebration in Boulder.

Milton:

See You in September Car Show in Downtown Milton

Head downtown for Milton’s biggest car night, showcasing classic and unique cars, live entertainment, food, prizes and family-friendly activities.

Milton Farmers’ Market
With over 40 market vendors, shoppers can find fresh local products, including fruits, produce, meats, homemade sauces, baked goods, flowers, popcorn and more. Admission and parking are free.

Burlington:

Burlington Terry Fox Run/Walk

Happening at Spencer Smith Park, Burlington residents will come together for a walk or run in support of the fight against cancer.

Time: 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Latin Drag Brunch

Happening at the Art Gallery of Burlington, attendees will enjoy a brunch featuring performances by Kenadie St. James and Matraka from Drag Race Mexico. The event will also include a Mexican-themed meal.

Oakville:

Oakville Terry Fox Run

Happening at Coronation Park, participants can run, walk, bicycle, rollerblade, push a stroller or walk their dog as they come together in support of the fight against cancer.

Kennedy Sisters Team Movie Night in the Park

Woodhaven Park will host the Kennedy Sisters Team Movie Night, inviting the community to enjoy an evening outdoors. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Popcorn, snacks and water will be available.
