Thieves use truck to yank ATM out of Burlington restaurant

A group of brazen thieves used a truck to drag a bank machine from a Burlington restaurant.
According to police data, the crime was committed around 5 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at Shoeless Joe’s on Brant Street. The restaurant was closed at the time.
Reports say the culprits broke into the restaurant by smashing through the front door, wrapped a chain around the ATM, and then pulled it out using the power of the truck.
Three men are believed to have taken part in the heist.
It has not been determined how much damage was caused to the restaurant and the amount of money in the ATM.
Police are still investigating and have not identified any suspects.
