The Milton Santa Claus Parade returns with history and tradition
Published November 16, 2022 at 9:20 am
If there is one thing that history shows us is that Santa likes to visit Milton.
His first recorded visit in town was way back in 1907 when he stopped in downtown to visit local merchants, but it wasn’t until 1925 that he began to make regular appearances on Main St. in what would eventually turn into regular parades.
The tradition will continue on Saturday, Nov. 26 when the Milton Santa Claus Parade takes place.
Starting at 1:30 p.m. the parade will head along Main St. W. starting at Whitmer St. and proceeding to the Milton GO station parking lot.
This year floats and marching bands will be part of the parade and many of the merchants will be open for Christmas shopping before and after the event.
Volunteers are still needed to help out at the parade this year. If you would like to help out follow this link.
