Temporary detours for two Oakville bus routes due to construction

Construction and road work will result in temporary detours along two Oakville Transit routes over the next couple of days.
Due to construction on Taunton Rd. (as weather permits) Tuesday and Wednesday (Sept. 26-27), the Uptown Core Terminal will not be used for picking up and drop off.
Oakville Transit buses will stop at Oak Walk Dr. for pick up and drop off.
Affected bus routes will be routes 1 (Trafalgar Rd.), 5 (Dundas), 5A (Dundas St./Hwy. 407 to Uptown Core Terminal), 19 (River Oaks), 20 (Uptown Core Terminal), and 24 (South Common).
There will also be a temporary detour on Wednesday morning (Sept. 27) on two downtown Oakville routes due to asphalt operation.
From 7 to 10 a.m., Routes 14 (Lakeshore West from South Oakville Centre to Appleby GO) and 14A (Lakeshore West from Oakville GO to Burloak Dr./Rebecca St.) in both directions will not turn onto Navy St. Instead, the buses will turn right on Thomas St. and continue left along Church St.
Stop No. 2574 will not be in service at this time.
