Teen on bicycle sustains serious injuries after being hit near his school in Milton

A teen boy sustained serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle near his high school in Milton.

The teen was on his bicycle when he was hit around 3:30 p.m. yesterday (Sept. 13) on Bronte Street South near Elsie McGill High School in Milton, Halton Regional Police tell inHalton.

The teen was a student at the high school, police said.

He was transported to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver stayed on scene, police said.

There is no word on charges at this point.
