Students get extra-long weekend in Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills

Students across Halton will be getting an extra-long weekend that starts on Friday, Oct. 11.
Both the Halton District School Board and the Halton Catholic District School Board have PA Days scheduled for Friday meaning kids from Kindergarten to Grade 12 will be off for four days when you add in Thanksgiving on Monday.
While the students are freed from classes, most teachers will still be on the job.
PA stands for professional activities and the day at the public board will be used for work development for educators and staff, evaluation of student progress, curriculum and program evaluation and development. In the separate school system, the day off is called a “faith day.”
Classes will resume in both school systems on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
