Stretch of busy Oakville road to be closed for construction for three weeks

Traffic delays should be expected as a section of Chartwell Rd. in Oakville will be closed daily for for three weeks due to construction.

Chartwell Rd., from north of Cornwall Rd. to south of Industry St., will be closed beginning Monday (June 26) until July 14 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Monday to Friday.

Construction in the area by Oakville Hydro is for an overhead railway crossing removal and conversion to underground infrastructure.

The detour route will be along South Service Rd. E., Trafalgar Rd. and Cornwall Rd.
