Stolen vehicle investigation in Oakville leads to arrest of Mississauga man, three others

A stolen vehicle investigation in Oakville has led to the arrest of four people.
Halton Regional Police received reports at around 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 12) that several perpetrators were spotted attempting to steal a blue Dodge Ram truck from the South Oakville Chrysler dealership, located at 174 Wyecroft Rd.
Police say the group arrived in a black Dodge Ram that was later determined to have been stolen from Mississauga the day before (Sept. 11).
According to police, officers watched the black pickup truck in the area before trying pull the vehicle over. However, the driver sped away from police.
A short time later, the pickup lost control on the westbound QEW and hit a guard rail near Bronte Road.
Three people were arrested at the scene, police say. They were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Shortly after the initial arrests, police received information at around 4:30 a.m. that another person was still at the dealership.
Police made another arrest a short time later.
Aashish Sharma, 31, of Mississauga, is charged with:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (stolen licence plate)
- Possession of Master Key
- Possession of Break in Instruments
Jennifer Singh, 30, of Toronto, is charged with:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (stolen licence plate)
- Possession of Master Key
- Possession of Break in Instruments
- Flight from Police
- Dangerous Operation
- Fail to Comply with Release Order (2 counts)
- Fail to Comply with Undertaking
Rajpal Sran, 37, of no fixed address, is charged with:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (stolen licence plate)
- Possession of Master Key
- Possession of Break in Instruments
Himanshu Yadav, 25, of Etobicoke, is charged with:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (stolen licence plate)
- Possession of Master Key
- Possession of Break in Instruments
- Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
- Possession of Schedule I Substance – Heroin
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
- Fail to Comply with Undertaking
All four were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
