Still time for students in Burlington, Oakville, Milton to apply for Halton Region summer jobs

The deadline for students from Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton to apply for summer positions with Halton Region is fast approaching.

Each summer, Halton Region offers paid work opportunities to eligible post-secondary students for a period running from May to August.

“The summer student program is an awesome summer opportunity providing individuals with four months of hands-on experience and opening countless doors,” said a spokesperson.

• Expanding your knowledge and skills while helping you build the skill set you need for your career
• The opportunity to network and build professional relationships

To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in full-time studies as part of a post-secondary program, returning to full-time studies in September and legally eligible to work in Canada as a student.

Opportunities vary depending on the needs of each department. Halton Region offers summer student job opportunities in the Chief Administrative Officer’s office, finance, health, legislative and planning services, public works, digital information services, and social and community services.

If you are selected for an interview, you will receive an email suggesting dates and times. Interviews will take place from February to March. The application deadline is Wednesday, Jan. 10.
