An estimated $500,000 in damages were done, including to multiple vehicles, as a result of house fire late Thursday night (Sept. 5) in Oakville.

Emergency crews from the Oakville Fire Department responded to a fire at a two-storey home on Willowridge Court near Fourth Line and Lakeshore Road around 10:30 p.m. and discovered the three-door garage of the residence engulfed in flames.

The garage contained multiple sports cars on lifts, one which was severely damaged.

Reports indicated the fire may have been caused by faulty wiring in the garage.

Two people near the property were treated for smoke inhalation.

Residents of the home were safely evacuated. No injuries were reported.
