Spirit Awards will honour Oakville community champions

Honouring those who contribute to making life in Oakville better for everyone is the motivation behind the Community Spirit Awards.

Each year members of the community are chosen for the work they undertake in the various segments of our society.

The nomination period for these awards is now open and residents are invited to acknowledge these community heroes in the following categories:

• Arts, Culture & Heritage Award
• Climate Action Award
• Good Neighbour Award
• Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility Award
• Inspiration Award
• Leadership & Innovation Award

Nominations will be accepted until April 26 at 4 p.m.

The awards will be announced on June 6 at an event taking place Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre. More details will be shared in May when the nominees are announced.
