Last night in Oakville, a two-vehicle crash occurred at a busy intersection resulting in the extrication of one person and two people were sent to the hospital.

Halton Regional Police responded to a collision near Eighth Line and Upper Middle Road East.

The number of occupants in each vehicle at the time of the incident remains unknown, though extrication efforts were reportedly needed to free one person from the vehicles.

Subsequently, Halton paramedics transported two people to a local hospital, where their injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.

Police have not disclosed the identities or residences of those involved in the crash.

According to DR Media 371, the slippery road conditions, exacerbated by ongoing snowfall, are believed to have contributed to the accident.

However, police continue to investigate and have not confirmed the exact cause which led to the crash.
