Snow squalls are expected in today’s (Feb 12) forecast in Halton.

According to Environment Canada, snow squalls are expected and visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow.

Snow will quickly accumulate and snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm can be expected before the snow tapers off this afternoon.

Visibility will be near zero at times in snow and blowing snow, especially along the QEW between Burlington and Stoney Creek.

Environment Canada is urging the public to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.

If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
