Skyway lanes will be open this weekend, closure pushed back two weeks

Plans have changed regarding a lane closure on the Burlington Skyway this weekend.

Originally, one lane of the QEW-Fort Erie bound Skyway was going to be closed for maintenance from Friday, Oct. 18, to Monday, Oct. 21.

That work by the Ministry of Transportation has now been pushed back two weeks. Weather permitting, the lane will be closed starting at 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, and reopening at 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4.

The ramp from the Eastport Drive collector to the Skyway bridge will also be closed. There will be no access to the Skyway from the collector lanes.

The Eastport Drive collector lanes, Eastport Drive and all ramps at Northshore Boulevard interchange will be open.
