Shot in Burlington, new Nicolas Cage movie features local actress

The career of Nicolas Cage has had its ups and downs but a movie shot in and around Toronto including Burlington has the American actor back on top.

Cage stars in Dream Scenario, a dark comedy that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year and opened for wide distribution this past weekend.

Already earning a 92 per cent positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Cage is earning accolades for his typically quirky character portrayal which is supported by Burlington actress Jessica Clement who plays his daughter

Clement hosted a screening of the film this past Friday (Nov. 17) at SilverCity Burlington Cinema where she took part in a question-and-answer session with fans about the movie and her career.

Russell Williams restaurant on Plains Rd. is featured in the movie as are some local homes that were used for interior scenes.

Clement has commented that it was “a thrill” to work with Cage and believes Dream Scenario is a movie that will connect with audiences.
