Several roads will be closed for Remembrance Day services in Burlington

Remembrance Burlington roads closed police

Burlington has several services planned for Remembrance Day this Saturday, Nov. 11 and with that will come road closures and traffic restrictions.

A procession and service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and conclude at approximately 1 p.m.

Vehicles parked illegally in the road closure area will be tagged or towed.

Road Closures

10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Brant St. between Baldwin St. and Pine St. Detour on Victoria Ave.
  • Ontario St. between Locust St. and Brant St.
  • Locust St. between Elgin St. and Ontario St.
  • Baldwin St. between Hurd Ave. and Brant St.
  • Elgin St. between Locust St. and Brant St.

Resident Access

  • Residents and businesses along the route can exit using John St., Locust St. or Blathwayte Lane.
  • Emergency Services access will be maintained at all times along the route.

Parking Information

  • Parking will not be available on Brant St. between Baldwin St. and Pine St. between 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Please do not park in restricted areas.
  • Waterfront Parking Garage (414 Locust St.) will remain open with 339 parking spots available.

Supervision

  • The Halton Region Police Service will manage road closures.
  • Event notices were delivered to all residences, religious centres and businesses affected by the event.
