A serious, late-afternoon collision in Burlington has sent two people to hospital and snarled rush-hour traffic on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

According to Halton police, a two-vehicle collision at Dundas Street and Walker’s Line in Burlington has resulted in one person being sent to a trauma centre and another to a local hospital.

Emergency crews had to remove the passenger door to release the two injured passengers.

Walker’s Line is closed both northbound and southbound just south of Dundas Street.

Dundas St is closed between Rotary Way and Northampton Blvd for a collision investigation.

Halton police are asking drivers to avoid the area.

The collision reconstruction unit is on scene and investigating.
