Paulo Dasilva says he only buys a lottery ticket when he remembers…lucky for him.

Dasilva, 56, remembered to buy a ticket for the Lotto Max draw of Nov. 7 last year and the result was a second-place win of $135,738.80.

The Georgetown resident explained he doesn’t regularly buy tickets, but does so when he remembers.

He’s glad he remembered back in the fall.

“When I do play I usually play Lotto Max,” he explained. “I checked my ticket on the OLG app and I was very happy.”

Dasilva said his family is quite excited with the win and he has yet to decide what he is going to do with the newfound cash but some investments will be made.

“It’s a pretty good feeling,” he said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Steeles Avenue in Hornby.
